Introduction

The Tormentors are a fearsome and sinister subset of the Emperor’s Children, the Heretic Astartes Legion devoted to Slaanesh, the Dark Prince of Excess. Unlike the more flamboyant Noise Marines, who revel in the creation of destruction through sheer sonic fury, the Tormentors focus on the methodical and sadistic manipulation of pain, fear, and psychological torment. They are the twisted agents of suffering, each one a master of inflicting agony in the most excruciating ways possible, drawing out terror and pain until their enemies break completely.

The Tormentors' role within the Emperor’s Children is deeply tied to the Legion’s pursuit of perfection, particularly the perfection of pain, suffering, and pleasure. To them, torment is not only a means to break their enemies’ bodies but a form of art.
